The Fourth Trimester
The three months following the birth of a baby, also known as "the fourth trimester," is an important transition for mother, baby & the family. This period is acknowledged by nearly every culture as a time to care for the mother so she may care for her baby. This care was given by the mother's "village." Or society has often left mothers without her village. A Postpartum Doula may then step in to provide the care & support that is essential to the well-being of the family. Since each family's circumstances are unique, we will work with you to design a comprehensive package of postpartum services, tailored to meet your needs.
Postpartum services are charged by the hour and may last up to 12 weeks after you arrive home with your baby. Hours are determined on a case-by-case basis.
